The University’s Office of Equity & Inclusion remains open and functioning through remote access at this time.

We are working hard to ensure issues and incidents under the UMBC (Title IX) Sexual Misconduct, Interpersonal Violence, and Other Related Misconduct Policy, and UMBC Anti-Discrimination Policy are addressed promptly.

New matters can be reported through our online reporting form.

Interviews, investigations and resolution meetings will be conducted remotely, and matters will proceed.
We will ensure that all parties are able to continue to participate in the process, utilizing remote communication options.

The work of the former Office of Human Relations and Title IX Coordinator have been transitioned to the new Office of Equity and Inclusion which is responsible for promoting, and coordinating the University’s equity, diversity and inclusion efforts through:

  • Ensuring compliance with sexual misconduct and non-discrimination laws, regulations, and policies;

  • Prompt, fair investigation of complaints;

  • Education and training; and

  • Assessment and community outreach.
