Training: Awareness, Prevention and Response

  • Incoming new students (undergraduate, graduate and transfer) participate in Haven’s online training that raises awareness about sexual assault, prevention and bystander intervention. The training managed by University Health Services and is funded by a generous grant from the Verizon Foundation.   • Green Dot is UMBC’s Bystander Intervention program.  Training is offered throughout the year, and upon request.
  • Voices Against Violence Reporting Protocol Training for Faculty and Staff is offered several times each year to learn about  (Contact the program via 410-455-1606 or vav@umbc.edu)
  • Employee Online Training is in development with Workplace Solutions and will be launched during 2016
  • The Women’s Center provides a complementary training on how to effectively support a campus member who discloses that they have experienced sexual violence.
